During Sunday service, Bishop TD Jakes virtually addressed his church, saying that he’s blessed to be alive, and that he had to undergo surgery after being rushed to the ICU.
While people are relieved that he is okay now, his report is different from his daughter’s and son-in-law’s. In their video, they addressed the public, calling Jakes’ situation a “slight health incident”. ICU and surgery hardly sounds ‘slight’, but maybe they didn’t understand the magnitude of what was happening in the moment?

TD Jakes Suffers Health Emergency After Delivering Sermon
The congregation is seen cheering and clapping for their bishop, when they see him appear on the screen in the sanctuary. He thanked them for their love and support during his crisis. He went on to say that the first lady never left his side, and has been a great support to him as well.
Jakes, following doctors’ orders, is taking it slowly and spending the next few weeks in recovery.
